Why Join As A Writer?
Here, you’ll be writing tutorials like the ones on the front page. You’ll provide code, screenshots, and explanations that all go together to teach newcomers and veterans alike how to work with each part of the iOS SDKs in Swift.

This website is highly trafficked with an ever-increasing Alexa rank. We’ve been referenced and linked to from websites like The Huffington Post, Apple, tons of Stack Overflow questions, and our SEO rankings are fantastic. Additionally, by utilizing our newsletter we can get viewers on your content right away, before Google even starts to pick up your tutorials. We’ll give you credit by name, and optionally with a photo and links to your website, twitter, or other social media profiles. You’ll start receiving “thank you” letters and tweets at all hours of the day; a very rewarding feeling indeed.
Editing
When you send us a tutorial, we’ll walk through it ourselves and give you feedback on your writing. We strive for excellence in clarity with our tutorials. This will make you not only a stronger writer, but a stronger communicator, an indispensable skill.
Training
We’ll provide detailed feedback on the technical aspects of your code and your tutorials. You will be given advice on how to improve as a developer, and your code will improve. They say the best way to learn is to teach, and this is certainly true. Writing for us will make you a stronger developer.
Exposure
Are you trying to build your brand as a developer or author? Writing for us will put you in front of hundreds of thousands of visitors per month. At the end of your posts, we’ll include a short bio on you, and a link to your social media profiles.
Cold, Hard, Cash!
Okay, okay.. we don’t actually pay people in cash, and no, you won’t get rich writing tutorials for us. But, we do offer payment for your work. As long as you continue writing tutorials you will be paid for each new posting. We think we offer some of the best rates in the industry. While we think this is not the most important aspect of working with us, we do believe in paying people well for great work.
Freebies
After completing your first tutorial, you’ll be given free access to the entire catalog of work for sale on this site. Books, videos, and private access to our members only tutorials are coming, and you’ll get all of them for free as long as we keep selling them!
Business Opportunities
As a member of our team, you’ll be introduced to people you might not meet otherwise. If you are looking for contract work, we can pass leads on to you, help you build your network, and become a subject matter expert in mobile apps.
So is this a full-time job?
Not at all. What we’re looking for is part-time contributors. We know that your full-time job is inevitably to make apps for your customers or employer. What we’re looking for is a tutorial every month or so, depending on your schedule and flexibility. You’ll be paid on a per-tutorial basis, so you can write as little or as much as you want.
Applying
First off, we have a couple requirements you need to meet before you should apply.
- Be a high-level advanced developer
- Have apps shipped in the App store
- Have at least 2 years of experience working with iOS
- Be a great writer with excellent written communication skills
- Have a good understanding of Swift
- Have a deep knowledge of Objective-C
